La Crosse names Hodnicki as new head coach

The La Crosse Freeze of the NA3HL have announced that Robert Hodnicki has been named the team’s new head coach.
Hodnicki, 30, has spent the past two seasons coaching Adrian College in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) as their Director and ACHA Division I Head Coach. This past season, Hodnicki was Runner-Up for the ACHA Division I Coach of the Year.
During his time with Adrian, he won GLCHL Coach of the year, recruited the ACHA Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, as well as, had numerous players that were named All-Americans. Under Hodnicki, the team’s overall record was 58-9-2.

This organization is committed to the development and advancement of its players and I look forward to the process of taking this already successful program to new heights,” stated Hodnicki.
As a player, Hodnicki spent time in at the Tier III level in the CSHL (now NA3HL) for the Metro Jets during the 2002-03 season with then head coach Jon Cooper (now head coach with Tampa Bay Lightning). During the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons, Hodnicki played in the NAHL for Soo Indians, appearing in 56 career games.
He later went onto play college hockey at the NCAA Division III level for Adrian College and Utica College in New York.
