Nashville defenseman Redmon makes NCAA commitment

The Nashville Junior Predators, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League, are pleased to announce that defenseman Nicholas Redmon has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for the 2016-17 season.
Redmon, 20, just completed his second and final season playing in the NA3HL. Redmon (6’1/185) appeared in 40 games this season with the Jr. Predators, recording 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists). His 11 goals ranked in the Top 10 for NA3HL defensemen.
The native of Woodbury, Minnesota was also selected to and played in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team in Plymouth, Michigan. Redmon also made his NAHL debut on January 29th with the Lone Star Brahmas, playing in four NAHL games during the season.
Redmon been discussing his possible future with the MSOE Raiders since the beginning of March after coach Mark Ostapina saw his performance in the NA3HL Showcase and later at the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
“Milwaukee School of Engineering has a great program and after meeting Coach Ostapina and touring campus I think MSOE will be a great fit for me both academically and athletically,” Redmon said. “Coach Ostapina is a great coach with a lot of experience and I really look forward to playing for him. MSOE has a great engineering program and I plan on studying mechanical engineering.”
