Lockport Express make coaching change

November 7, 2016
The Lockport Express of the NA3HL have made a coaching change as General Manager Frank Vecchio, will be back behind the bench, for the foreseeable future.  The Express started the season 3-0 but have dropped their last 12 games and felt a change had to be made.

Vecchio stated, “Brian Becker is a good hockey coach and a good person and we wish him nothing but the best.  We felt that, given our current record, we could not continue on the path we were on.  Whenever a change like this is made, everyone in the organization must take responsibility, from ownership right through to the players.  Everyone is accountable and the players need to own that as well.  I will handle the coaching duties while we actively pursue a Head Coach that will lead us into the future and we look forward to turning this around.  Again, Coach Becker is a good man whom we thank for his efforts and commitment and wish him well.”
