November 17, 2016
The La Crosse Freeze, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Sam Dabrowski has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Coulee Region Chill. The Coulee Region Chill plays in the NAHL Midwest Division.
Dabrowski, 18, is in his first full season with the La Crosse Freeze. He made is NA3HL and Freeze debut last season following his high school season at Onalaska High School, appearing in 6 games and recording 3 points during the 2015-16 season under then Freeze head coach Ryan Egan, who is now the head coach of the Chill.
As a native of Onalaska, WI, Dabrowski (6’3/180) currently leads the La Crosse Freeze in scoring for the 2016-17 season with 20 points in 14 games played.
"Sam is a great forward with a tremendous skill set. He has a big body and can play numerous roles. He is leading our team in points and has been our most consistent performer offensively. Sam has worked extremely hard to develop his game and will continue to work to become an impact player at the NAHL level. We are very happy for Sam," stated Head Coach Rob Hodnicki.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 2, 2017.
