Metro forward Boudon gets call to the NAHL

The player promotions continue for the NA3HL's Metro Jets.

 

After advancing goaltender Andrew Kormos and defenseman Marc Schwartz to the North American Hockey League's Kenai River Brown Bears last weekend, giving the Jets seven NAHL call-ups this season, forward Louis Boudon is off this week to the NAHL's Northeast Generals.

 

Boudon, a rookie from Grenoble, France, signed a tender agreement with the Generals last month for the 2017-18 NAHL season.

 

“Louis has come a long way from the start of the season and has really developed into quite the elite player,” said Jets coach-GM Justin Quenneville. “His hockey IQ is up there with the best of them at his age and his vision really sets him apart from the rest. It’s great to see guys continue to get opportunities at the NAHL level and we wish Louis the best of luck this week with the Generals. This once again proves why our league is above the rest when it comes to NAHL opportunities and why teams continue to call upon players.” 

 

Already this season, the Jets have sent defensemen Robby Flannery (Springfield Jr. Blues), Nick Foran (Kenai River, Northeast) and George Hansen (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights) and goaltender Jake Gwillim (New Jersey Titans), who also committed to NCAA Division III Aurora University three weeks ago, to NAHL clubs.

 

Foran also signed an affiliate agreement with Northeast for the rest of the 2016-17 season.

 

The Jets' youngest player, Boudon only turned 18 this past October. He leads the team in goals (21) and points (44) and has suited up in all 30 games for Metro.
