Breezy Point goalie Lindhe makes NCAA commitment
April 10, 2017
The Breezy Point North Stars of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Magnus Lindhe has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Marian University in the NCHA.
Lindhe, 20, just completed his second and final season of playing in the NA3HL. The 6’4/200 lbs. native of Stockholm, Sweden appeared in 22 games this season and posted an 11-9-1 record to go along with a 3.29 goals against average and a 90.4% save percentage.
Lindhe played 12 games last season for the North Stars. He also played in the NAHL for both the Kenai River Brown Bears and Brookings Blizzard. Prior to that, he played junior hockey in Sweden.
“We are excited to see Magnus find a school that he feels is a great fit for him. Magnus found a lot of success the last two seasons between both Breezy Point and in the NAHL and that is due to his drive and hard work. Magnus is one of the hardest working and competitive players I have had the opportunity to be around. That alone showed the type of character that he has and him bringing that to Marian next season will be great to witness. We are very proud of Lindhe and his accomplishments and are excited to see him grow as a person while being a student athlete,” said Breezy Point head coach Jon Jonasson
“I chose Marian because I feel it is a great fit for both my education and future in hockey. After speaking with the coaching staff at Marian I knew it was where I needed to spend the next four years. I really enjoyed my time in Breezy Point, it allowed me to progress as a player and a person, which has really prepared me for college,” said Lindhe.
