Binghamton defenseman Ethington makes college commitment
May 1, 2017
The Binghamton Junior Senators of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Lucas Ethington committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at Kent State University.
Ethington, 21, was an assistant captain for Binghamton this past season and recorded 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 40 regular season games. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Bryans Road, Maryland, missed the Junior Senators run through the playoffs with an injury.
Ethington played with the organization during a part of the 2015-16 season when they were the Wilkes-Barre Miners in the NA3EHL, where he had 14 points in 13 games played.
He is the 4th player from the Junior Senators team this past season who has made a college commitment.
“Luke was a big part of our team on and off the ice and played a 200-foot game, contributing on offense and defense,” said General Manager Ray Welsh.
