Yellowstone forward Doner makes NCAA commitment

June 28, 2017
The Yellowstone Quake of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Max Doner has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Doner, 20, just completed his third and final season playing in the NA3HL, which were all spent with the Quake. The native of Mukilteo, Washington, had his best career season in 2016-17 as he recorded 65 points (28 goals, 37 assists) during the regular season, which ranked his 2nd in scoring for the Quake.

Doner (6’0/171) was also selected to and played in the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, where he shined for the White team, recording three points in three games.

Over the course of his three-year career, Doner played in 139 career games and recorded 158 career points (73 goals, 85 assists).

“Max has been a great two way forward for the Quake over the years and has developed into a player that can put the puck in the back of the net. His skating ability and the way he see's the ice and handles the puck has helped him be the leading point leader All-Time for the Quake. It was great to be able to coach Max and be a part of his hockey career the past couple years. We wish Max the best of luck going forward to River Falls,” said Quake head coach Ryan Theros.
