Video: The NA3HL, still a Step Above the Rest

June 28, 2017
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) is pleased to announce the release of their new video, which highlights the benefits of playing in the NA3HL. The video takes an in-depth look at the NA3HL and offers a perspective as to why the NA3HL is the best Tier III junior training ground in the country. With 47 teams, the NA3HL is and largest and most diverse USA Hockey-certified Tier III junior league in the United States.

“We have grown exponentially across the country, but what stands out is the exposure that the NA3HL players are receiving,” said NAHL Commissioner and President Mark Frankenfeld. “It underlines the primary mission of the NA3HL, which is to develop and advance players.”

The bottom line is when it comes to player advancement, be it to the NAHL or college hockey, the NA3HL is a step above the rest. This past season, no other league has had more movement and advanced more players onto play in the NAHL than the NA3HL. The NA3HL also had over 110+ college commitments in 2016-17, with the number still growing.

“Anything that gives the players an extra look is something that the NA3HL is able to provide and enhance. We want to continue to make the most of that and push our players to become better and the NA3HL allows us the opportunity and forum to do so,” said Metro Jets head coach and former NAHL head coach Justin Quenneville. “Our players not only get great treatment and exposure from the league, but they do a great job at educating all of us about the opportunities that exist beyond playing in the NA3HL and taking that next step.”

One of the main benefits of the direct relationship with the NAHL is the presence of NAHL Central Scouting at all the NA3HL events during the season, which includes the NA3HL Showcase, the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament and the NA3HL Silver Cup Championship. NAHL Central Scouting is solely dedicated to finding NA3HL hockey players, evaluating them in a true unbiased manner and then organizing and providing that information to NAHL teams and college coaches. No other junior league in the United States has a system like it, where its primary mission is the advancement of players. “Our hand-picked scouts our solely focused on evaluating as many NA3HL players as they can and then getting that information organized and in the hands of NAHL and college coaches. I think that has helped us grow the advancement numbers and is something that is exclusive to the NA3HL,” said Frankenfeld.

With 47 teams slated for the 2017-18 season, NA3HL also has a nice variety of markets that help enhance the game and the product on the ice. With a geographic footprint that stretches from Montana to Maine, players can play close to home while enjoying the benefits of a tight team structure that is focused on providing them with the best experience, which includes everyday life in the NA3HL and being a part of their local communities.

“The advancement opportunities for NA3HL players are real and something that continue to grow each season,” said NA3HL Commissioner Denny Scanlon. “This video is a great testimonial as leadership, coaches and players all explain their experiences that outline the core mission of the league. The results and numbers behind the player advancement continue to prove that the NA3HL is focused advancement of our players to the NAHL and beyond.”
