Austin Martz helped the Pittsburgh Vengeance stay hot with their 9th straight win this weekend.

Alexandria Blizzard 1 @ North Iowa Bulls 6-The North Iowa Bulls scored twice in each period to defeat the Alexandria Blizzard, 6-1. Connor Clemons, Tyler Bump, Bryceton Butkiewicz, Josh Arnold, Alex Timm, and Brendan Studioso scored for the Bulls, while Matt Dahlseide notched one for the Blizzard. In net, Colin Cain stopped 39 shots for North Iowa, and Brady Meyers made 33 saves for Alexandria.

Metro Jets 8 @ Southern Tier Xpress 0-Andrew Kormos made 18 saves to help the Metro Jets to an 8-0 win over the Southern Tier Xpress. Jhuwon Davis, Connor Inger, Mathieu LaForest, Joey Bruce, Brandon Graham, Trevor Momot, Anthony Cinato, and Jeremy Schwartz scored for the Jets. Brandon Heacock and Ryan Pascarella made 59 and 5 saves, respectively, for Southern Tier.

Roc City Royals 3 @ Northeast Generals 9-The Northeast Generals scored four second period goals on their way to a 9-3 win over the Roc City Royals. David Piela, Marc Faia, Thad Marcola, Stephen Toal (2), John Lockhead, Dylan Figueroa, Austin Braley, and Todd Gianetis scored for the Generals, while Tyler Phillips, Dylan Candleana, and Connor Seay found the back of the net for the Royals. Northeast’s Lucas Souza made 20 saves, while Frederick Peters and Josh Martinez stopped 17 and 16 shots, respectively, for the Royals. 

Point Mallard Ducks 7 @ College Station Spirit 0-Joey Bernardini made 27 saves for Point Mallard in a 7-0 shutout win over the College Station Spirit. Fletcher Chun, Nathan Weinland, Mason Evans, Charlie Scherberger, Tyler Trombly, Jesse Stepp, and Jarrett Green scored for the Ducks. Ryan O’Toole made 51 stops for the Spirit.

Jersey Shore Wildcats 5 @ Skylands Kings 2-After a busy third period, the Jersey Shore Wildcats came out on top, 5-2, over the Skylands Kings. Antonion Filippelo, Brenden Henzie, Hunter Johnson, and RC Randall (2) scored for the Wildcats, while Craig Garrigan and Mike King found the back of the net for the Kings. Jersey Shore’s Nick Anastasia made 16 stops, while Taylor Zink stopped 29 shots for Skylands.

Pittsburgh Vengeance 5 @ Toledo Cherokee 2-The Pittsburgh Vengeance scored three goals in the third period to overpower the Toledo Cherokee, 5-2. Nathaniel Schwartz (2), Simon Soderberg, Austin Martz, and Zachary Servidio scored for the Vengeance, while Blake Mullins and EJ Gilbert notched goals for the Cherokee.

Lansing Wolves 1 @ Wooster Oilers 2-Goals from Matt Kesto and Cole Barney helped drive the Wooster Oilers to a 2-1 victory over the Lansing Wolves. Brendan Smith notched the lone Wolves goal. Wooster goaltender Michael Hubbard made 19 saves, while Sean Finstrom stopped 20 shots for Lansing.

Evansville Jr Thunderbolts 1 @ Peoria Mustangs 0-A third period goal from Brandon Rozema decided the game, 1-0, in favor of the Evansville Jr Thunderbolts against the Peoria Mustangs. Evansville’s Bryson Linenburg made 49 saves for the shutout, while Dakota Meyer stopped 21 shots for Peoria.

Wisconsin Whalers 7 @ Rochester Ice Hawks 2-The Wisconsin Whalers grabbed an early lead on their way to a 7-2 win over the Rochester Ice Hawks. Nick Rogers (3), Dan Lienemann, Alex Gille, Jimmy McDermott, and Tyson Rohrer scored for the Whalers, while Colby Decarlo and Zach Curry found the back of the net for the Ice Hawks. Wisconsin’s Brendan Earls made 38 saves, while Tait Carlson stopped 40 shots for Rochester.

Maine Wild 6 @ Long Beach Sharks 5-The Maine Wild scored twice in the third period, forcing overtime, where Jeffrey Gratz found the back of the net to defeat the Long Beach Sharks, 6-5. Bailey Baxter, Nick Panfen, Tyler Webb, Mason Ledbetter, and Josef Mehall scored for the Wild in regulation, while Luc Meier, Kevin Brand, Jackson Wellmeyer (2), and CJ Smith scored for the Sharks. In net, Anthony Santarosa made 43 saves for Maine, and Long Beach’s Ben Vutci made 40 saves on the net.

Texas Brahmas 3 @ Mid Cities Jr Stars 2 (OT)-The Mid Cities Jr Stars scored twice in the third to tie the game, but Robert Seger scored less than a minute into overtime to hand the 3-2 OT win to the Texas Brahmas. Cameron Tobey and Jarrod Croswell scored in regulation for the Brahmas, and Conor Simpson and Bryce Harrison notched goals for the Jr Stars. Texas goaltender Tyler Meyers made 21 saves, while Jake Ange stopped 28 shots for Mid Cities.

La Crosse Freeze 4 @ Breezy Point North Stars 3 (OT)-Laudon Poellinger notched a hat trick – including an OT winner – to help the La Crosse Freeze defeat the Breezy Point North Stars, 4-3. Thomas Magnavite also scored for the Freeze, while Josh Maucieri, Tate Steffan, and Austin Langworthy found the back of the net for the North Stars. La Crosse’s Jacob Silverstein made 26 saves, while Bronson Moore stopped 38 shots for Breezy Point.

New Ulm Steel 5 @ Willmar WarHawks 2-The New Ulm Steel started out strong on their way to a 5-2 win over the Willmar WarHawks. Max Kjome, Kirk Coppock, Sam Storlie, Ryan Smith, and Bayler Kraus scored for the Steel, while Max Oelkers and Keegan Bauman found the back of the net for the WarHawks. New Ulm’s Ryan Kenny stopped 37 shots, while Luke Fry and Drake Voell made 4 and 13 saves, respectively, for Willmar.

Helena Bighorns 1 @ Gillette Wild 2 (OT)-Derek Scoggins scored 0:24 into overtime for the Gillette Wild to defeat the Helena Bighorns, 2-1. Brooks Mitzel scored for the Wild in regulation, and Jarret Scheibel found the back of the net for the Bighorns. Gillettes Cody Grogan made 31 saves on the night, while Cody Brewer stopped 28 shots for Helena.

Yellowstone Quake 4 @ Great Falls Americans 2-The Yellowstone Quake scored three quick goals in the third to grab the lead and the win, 4-2, over the Great Falls Americans. Riley Buller, Jack Moore, Mason Stewart, and Ian Doner scored for the Quake, while Adam Vandenbos and Payton McSharry each notched one for the Americans. Both Yellowstone’s Jonatan Persson and Great Falls’ Mack Willy made 27 saves on the night.

Missoula Junior Bruins 8 @ Bozeman Icedogs 4-The Missoula Junior Bruins scored four goals in the first on their way to an 8-4 win over the Bozeman Icedogs. JJ Blondin, Hayden Moistner, Parker Todd, Isaac Vincent, Misha Akatnov (2), CJ Odlin, and Rhys Cottle scored for the Junior Bruins, while Austin Charnholm, Chad Stucker, Beckett Patten, and Daniel Davis found the back of the net for the Icedogs. In net, Missoula’s Duncan Wiest made 30 saves, while Parker Orchard stopped 48 shots for Bozeman.
