Sunday Wrap-Up: Binghamton punches playoff ticket with sweep

Lansing goalie Sean Finstrom helped his team to three wins over the weekend, including a 2-1 win on Sunday over Pittsburgh.

Roc City Royals 0 @ Binghamton Junior Senators 14-Binghamton Junior Senator Jeffrey Zero made 19 saves for a 14-0 shutout win over the Roc City Royals. Jeremy Wilber (2), Benjamin Beversdorf, Brad Becker, Ryan Reifler (2), Michael Padgeon (4), Eric Melso, Dominick Bogdziul, Caleb Beversdorf, and Hunter Kepple scored for the Junior Senators. Roc City's Frederick Peters made 38 saves.
 
Oswego Stampede 0 @ Niagara Falls PowerHawks 6-Niagara Falls PowerHawk Kris Augustine made 25 saves for a 6-0 shutout win over the Oswego Stampede. Brandon Snyder, Stephen Minichello (2), Brandon Schweickert (2), and Frankie Bodami scored for the PowerHawks. In net for Oswego, Ben White made 43 saves. 

Lansing Wolves 2 @ Pittsburgh Vengeance 1-After a scoreless first two periods, Lansing Wolves' Jacob Redman scored twice in the third for a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Vengeance. Thomas Polster scored for the Vengeance. Lansing's Sean Finstrom made 26 saves, and Tyler Hawk stopped 29 shots for Pittsburgh. 
 
Southern Tier Xpress 8 @ Wooster Oilers 4-The Southern Tier Xpress held a strong offensive presence to defeat the Wooster Oilers, 8-4. Nick Wilcox, Marks Mezsargs, Stuart Pearson (3), Reginald Hunter, James Lowry, and Brian Grant scored for the Xpress, while Daniel Critzer, Grant Dickinson, Shane Malinak, and Turner Banyasz each notched goals for the Oilers. Southern Tier net minder Ryan Pascarella made 24 saves, while Wooster's Michael Hubbard and Joseph Ackley stopped 11 and 7 shots, respectively. 
 
Maine Wild 2 @ New England Stars 3 (SO)-Tyson Gudaitis scored three times - twice in regulation and once in a shootout - to help the New England Stars to a 3-2 shootout win over the Maine Wild. Ian Gatley also scored in the shootout for the Stars. Mason Ledbetter and Tyler Webb scored in regulation for Maine, and Ledbetter also notched one in the shootout. New England's Andrew Ghimpeteanu made 38 saves, while Ben Jenkins stopped 40 shots for the Wild. 
 
Metro Jets 5 @ St Louis Jr Blues 1-The St Louis Jr Blues opened the scoring, but five consecutive goals for the Metro Jets handed them the win, 5-1. Matt Schaumburger, Marc Shwartz, Anthony Cinato (2), and Jhuwon Davis scored for the Jets, and Jack Hatton notched one for the Jr Blues. Metro's Brian Tallieu stopped 27 shots, and Blake Bjella made 24 saves for St Louis. 

Evansville Jr Thunderbolts 3 @ Atlanta Capitals 5-The Atlanta Capitals scored three times in the third to secure a 5-2 win over the Evansville Jr Thunderbolts. Jason Ladzinski, Brody Nielsen (2), Andrei Rusakov, and Christopher Linda scored for the Capitals, and Rory Scott racked up a hat trick for the Jr Thunderbolts. Atlanta's Hunter Adams made 18 saves, and Bryson Linenburg stopped 61 shots for Evansville. 
 
Texas Brahmas 3 @ College Station Spirit 0-Texas Brahma goaltender Tyler Myers made 25 saves for a 3-0 shutout win over the College Station Spirit. Vincent Dekumbis, Bennett Weycker, and Michael Redmon each notched one for Brahmas. College Station's Ryan O'Toole made 64 saves.
