Maine Wild defenseman Haynes makes NCAA commitment

February 12, 2018
The Maine Wild of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Jacob Haynes has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Framingham State University for the 2018-19 season.

The 5’9/185 lbs. native of Tampa, Florida, has 6 assists on the season thus far in 37 games played.

Framingham State University is located just 20 miles west of Boston, offering students all the cultural and career benefits of a world-class city. The University is situated on a beautiful, 78 acre, traditional New England campus in Framingham, the largest town in Massachusetts.

“I am very blessed to be able to continue my education and hockey career at Framingham State,” stated Haynes. “I wouldn’t be in this position if it were not for my amazing family, coaches, and teammates. Coach Tory and Coach Léveillé are running a great program here in Maine and have been a huge factor in my development. I am looking forward to the Wild having a successful playoff run.”

“Jacob has been a tremendous player both on and off the ice for the Wild this season. I am very happy to see all of his hard work and dedication pay off with this commitment to play for Framingham,” said Wild Head Coach Jeff Tory.
