Saturday Scores: Scites leads Americans to sweep over Quake

Great Falls Americans goalie Drew Scites stopped 109 out of 110 shots in two games this weekend as the Americans swept the 1st place Yellowstone Quake.

Yellowstone Quake 0 @ Great Falls Americans 1-Drew Scites made 45 saves for a 1-0 shutout win over the Yellowstone Quake. Michal Houlihan notched the only goal of the game for the Americans.  Reid Waszczenko made 37 saves for the Quake. 
 
Rochester Ice Hawks 1 @ St Louis Jr Blues 5-Jake Cox scored twice in the first to set the pace for a 5-1 win for the St Louis Jr Blues over the Rochester Ice Hawks. Will Baginski (2) and Bud Winter also scored for the Jr Blues, while Ryan Stokes notched one for the Ice Hawks. In net, Hunter Smith made 14 saves for St Louis, while Nick Bucklin stopped 45 shots for Rochester. 
 
Mid Cities Jr Stars 1 @ Texas Brahmas 5-After a slow start, the Texas Brahmas scored five in a row to defeat the Mid Cities Jr Stars, 5-1. Michael Redmon, Dakota Davis, Cameron Bickford (2), and Hunter Bersani scored for the Brahmas, while Nick Sheridan scored the only Jr Stars goal. Texas' Tyler Myers made 20 saves, while Matthew Lenz and Nick Vanwinkle stopped 12 and 8 shots each for Mid Cities. 
 
Wausau RiverWolves 6 @ Evansville Jr Thunderbolts 5-The Wausau RiverWolves played a strong middle period to defeat the Evansville Jr Thunderbolts, 6-5. Janne Rukamp (2) and Matt Irwin (4) scored for the RiverWolves, while Kody Kifer, Braden Rowe, Malik Winfielder, Brandon Rozema, and Jake Hannebrink scored for the Jr Thunderbolts. In net, Jackson Fazendin made 33 saves for Wausau, while Spencer Gill and Sam Tucker stopped 18 and 14 shots each for Evansville. 
 
New England Stars 5 @ Northeast Generals 3-The New England Stars grabbed an early lead on their way to a 5-3 win over the Northeast Generals. James Wilson, Ryan Gauvin, Tyson Gudaitis, and Connor Barter (2) scored for the Stars, while Marc Faia, Jacob Kelly, and Thad Marcola each notched one for the Generals. New England's Greg Moon made 25 saves, while Lucas Souza stopped 29 shots for Northeast. 
 
Niagara Falls PowerHawks 3 @ Southern Tier Xpress 4-Joey Gerace scored a pair in the third to secure a 4-3 win for the Niagara Falls PowerHawks over the Southern Tier Xpress. Christopher Crowley and Mickenzie Restle also scored for the Xpress, while Stephen Minichiello, Evan Domiano, and Andrew Logar found the back of the net for the PowerHawks. Southern Tier's Ryan Pascarella made 21 saves, while Kris Augustine stopped 53 shots for Niagara Falls. 
 
Pittsburgh Vengeance 5 @ Toledo Cherokee 0-Pittsburgh Vengeance goaltender Caden Shell made 27 saves for a 5-0 shutout win over the Toledo Cherokee. Dominik Glavach (2), Chris Sturny, Simon Soderberg, and Brendan Johns scored for the Vengeance. Toledo's Ricardo Gonzalez stopped 42 shots on the night. 
 
Cape Cod Islanders 3 @ Maine Wild 5-The Maine Wild grabbed an early lead on the way to a 5-3 win over the Cape Cod Islanders. Jason Gratz, Brady Bannon, Robert Dysart, Jacob Haynes, and Dany Shestakov scored for the Wild,  while Cody Doyon (2) and  Jack Conway found the back of the net for the Islanders. Maine's Anthony Santarosa stopped 34 shots, while Hunter Norris made 48 saves for Cape Cod. 
 
Peoria Mustangs 1 @ Metro Jets 4-The Metro Jets grabbed an early lead on their way to a 4-1 win over the Peoria Mustangs. Anthony Cinato, Joey Bruce, George Hansen, and Jeremy Shwartz found the back of the net for the Jets, while Jack Healy notched one for the Mustangs. Metro's Brian Tallieu stopped 24 shots, while Jaden Gardner made 40 saves for Peoria. 
 
Breezy Point North Stars 0 @ Granite City Lumberjacks 4-After a scoreless first, the Ridge Gerads stopped 9 shots for a 4-0 shutout win over the Breezy Point North Stars. Granite City's Braden Altena (2), Chase DiBari, and Reese Kaehler scored for the Lumberjacks. Breezy Point's Lucas Ehrlich stopped 26 shots. 
 
New Ulm Steel 3 @ North Iowa Bulls 4 (OT)-Brendan Studioso notched one in overtime for the North Iowa Bulls to defeat the New Ulm Steel, 4-3. Aaron Swanson, Jarod Blackowiak, and Lucas McKinnon scored in regulation for the Bulls, while Sam Storlie, Alex Nagel, and Nickolas Wieben found the back of the net for the Steel. North Iowa's Colin Cain made 27 saves on the night, while Ryan Kenny stopped 37 shots for New Ulm. 
 
Binghamton Junior Senators 11 @ Roc City Royals 0-Jeremy Wilber (3), Dinmukhamed Dzhangarashev (3), Cody Dearing, Dominik Bogdziul, and Gregory Simmons scored for the Binghamton Junior Senators in an 11-0 shutout win over the Roc City Royals. no goalie info 
 
Missoula Junior Bruins 3 @ Gillette Wild 6-The Gillette Wild scored late in the game to defeat the Missoula Junior Bruins, 6-3. Hunter Peterson, Nick Stockert (2), Coleman Varty (2), and Gage Thompson scored for the Wild, while Austin Dennison, Vadim Zubkov, and Zach Jaffe found the back of the net for the Junior Bruins. Gillette's Aaron LaChance made 26 saves, while Billy Yoder stopped 42 shots for Missoula. 
 
Bozeman Icedogs 1 @ Helena Bighorns 4-The Helena Bighorns grabbed an early lead for a 4-1 win over the Bozeman Icedogs. Luc Cross (2), Kaden Lindberg, and Justin Sullivan scored for the Bighorns, while Jacob Boje notched one for the Icedogs. Helena's Nick Battaglia stopped 25 shots, while Tait Carlson made 46 saves for Bozeman.
