Looking around the NA3HL, it would be hard to find a more passionate fan base than the one that cheers on the Nordiques. Lewiston/Auburn averaged over 600 fans a game in 2017-18, ranking them 5th in attendance in the entire league.

“We have tremendous support from our community and one of the strongest fan bases in the NA3HL. We look forward to growing our support and giving back to the community with our continued involvement in local youth hockey, school programs and specialty events,” said Nordiques Head Coach Cameron Robichaud.

Caleb Labrie led the Nordiques with 35 goals and 70 points and earned a commitment to Becker College. Goaltender Michael Errico and his 2.04 goals against average will be heading to Lindenwood University.

“The league events provide a great opportunity for our players to compete against different competition as well as expose our players to higher levels of junior and college hockey. Last season’s events created opportunities for several of our players at the Tier II, NCAA Division III and ACHA D1 level,” Robichaud said.

Looking ahead to this season, the Nordiques bench boss is ready to make a run to the Fraser Cup Championship Tournament.

“The main focus this offseason was to build a roster that had stronger depth top to bottom. At this time, we feel very confident in our lineup and ability to compete with all forward lines, defense pairing and goaltending.

“I have big expectations for our defensive core this season, JP Chauvin, Cole Ouellette, Andrew McCormick, Donovan Tehan, Hans Watson and Nick Lusignan will provide strong offense, defense and leadership for our club this season and will be relied on heavily for all situations,” Robichaud added.

A season ago, Cole Ouellette was an offensive force from the blue line as he scored 18 times and assisted on 41 others to give him 59 points in his rookie season. JP Chauvin scored 14 goals of his own and had 36 helpers to give himself 50 points on the year. McCormick was also a offensive threat on the back end as his 35 points ranked 7th overall for the Nordiques last season.

With a highflying veteran blue line and raucous fan base in Lewiston/Auburn, the Nordiques are ready to contend for a Fraser Cup championship.
