Saturday Scores: Bighorns stay undefeated with road wins

Hayden Seitz had two goals and three assists on Saturday to help the Helena Bighorns remain undefeated.

Helena Bighorns 8 @ Missoula Junior Bruins 5 - It was a wire to wire victory Saturday night for the Bighorns as they defeated the Missoula Junior Bruins 8-5. Hayden Seitz had himself a night netting two goals and three assists. Tirrill Porter, Luc Cross, and Elliot Plourde all recorded three-point nights of their own. Goaltender Alexander Rogers picked up his third win of the season. Vadim Zubkov remained on fire for the Bruins scoring four goals on the night. The Bruins forward now has a whopping 14 points in his last three games.
 
North Iowa Bulls 3 @ Granite City Lumberjacks 5 - A three goal third period was the key for the Granite City Lumberjacks in their 5-3-win Saturday night over the North Iowa Bulls. Tied up with under 10 minutes to play, Zack DeBoom scored his seventh goal of the year to give the Lumberjacks the lead. Bailey Sommers added an insurance goal with under five minutes to play. Defensemen, Jack Flattum dished out 3 assists for the Lumberjacks as well. Matt Dahlseide, Jarod Blackowiak, and Cam Fagerlee scored the goals for the Bulls. Goaltender David Mulligan remained undefeated picking up his fourth win of the season. 
 
Great Falls Americans 5 @ Gillette Wild 1 - Matt Janke and Payton McSharry notched two goals each Saturday night for the Great Falls Americans in their 5-1 victory over the Gillette Wild. After Zach VanCompernolle tied the game up at one in the first period for the wild, the Americans proceeded to score four unanswered to take total control of the game. Goaltender Drew Scites was stellar all night stopping 32 of 33 shots. Levi Mese scored the opening goal for the Americans. Jens Juliussen added two assists as well.
 
Yellowstone Quake 7 @ Butte Cobras 8 - A wild, high scoring affair Saturday night ended with the Butte Cobras edging out the Yellowstone quake in overtime. Trailing 4-3 heading into the 3rd period, the Quake scored four goals in the final frame including the game tying goal to send the game to overtime with 1:52 remaining. Wyatt Haakenson notched the game winner shortly into overtime to secure the win for the Cobras. Haakenson had himself two goals and two assists on the night. Tyson Stovin notched a hat-trick for the Cobras as well. Cole Crawford and Luke Hartge each had hat-tricks for the Quake. Goaltender Casey Mattfeldt made 59 saves in the win.
 
Maine Wild 0 @ Northeast Generals 6 - John Driscoll was the star of the night for the Generals in their 6-0 win over the Maine Wild. The Goaltending recorded his second shutout of the season stopping all 38 shots that came his way Saturday night. Thaddeus Marcola was the workhorse for the Generals netting two goals and three assists. Marc Faia had a four-point night of his own. The Northeast Generals outshot the Wild 51-38 in the rout.  
 
Atlanta Capitals 0 @ Mid Cities Jr. Stars 4 - Coming off a win Friday night, the Mid Cities Jr. Stars slammed the door on the Atlanta Capitals winning 4-0. Francisco Clark-Silva recorded his second shutout of the season making 24 saves in the Stars win. Hunter Leonhard and Nick Snyder each had two-point nights leading their team to victory. Noah Ping made 32 saves for the Capitals in the loss. 
 
New England Stars 0 @ L/A Nordiques 6 - The Nordiques continued their strong start to the season Saturday night with a 6-0 stomping over the New England Stars. Colby Audette led the way scoring two goals and dishing out an assist. Goaltending Daniel Miller remained perfect on the season notching his first shutout of the year. The Nordiques slammed the door outshooting the Stars 39-14 in the rout. 
 
Long Beach Sharks 4 @ Skylands Kings 5 - The Skylands Kings were able to hang on Saturday night edging out the Long Beach Sharks in a close battle 5-4. After the Kings scored the first three goals of the game, the Sharks comeback came up a little short. Jake Cicalese led the way for the Kings scoring his sixth and seventh goals of the season. Defensemen, Trevor Christopher was all over the ice dishing out three assists in the win. The Kings outshot the Sharks 41-32. 
 
Wilmar WarHawks 3 @ Peoria Mustangs 4 (OT) - It took overtime to settle this absolute thriller between the WarHawks and Mustangs. Trailing by a goal with under a minute to go, Kirill Tarasov tied the game for the WarHawks sending this game to overtime. Tristian Trudel eventually notched the game winning goal sending the Mustang fans home happy. Jaden Gardner was solid all night making 33 saves and recording his third win of the season. 
 
Oswego Stampede 2 @ Binghamton Junior Senators 9 - The Binghamton Junior Senators came into this contest on fire scoring four unanswered goals in the opening frame. Eventually winning 9-2, the Senators won their 10th game of the season Saturday night. Mike Padgeon and Greg Simmons led the way both recording four-point nights in the rout. Thomas Liebold also chipped with two goals of his own. Elijah Morris and Tommy Kilway scored the goals for the Stampede. 
 
St. Louis Jr. Blues 9 @ Wisconsin Whalers 2 - Dante Jones led the way for the St. Louis Jr. Blues recording his first hat-trick of the season in their 9-2 blowout win over the Wisconsin Whalers. After Jeff Bishop opened the scoring for the Whalers, Jones wasted no time tying the game and the Blues never looked back. The Whalers ran away with the game scoring six goals in the final frame. Will Baginski was huge for the Whalers scoring a goal and dishing out two assists. Goaltender Mikael Foucher made 29 saves in the win. 
 
College Station Spirit 3 @ Texas Brahmas 11 - The Brahmas firepower continued Saturday night making easy work of the Spirit with an 11-3 win. Jack Cooper recorded his 2nd hat-trick of the season and Tyler Blanchard walked away with a six-point night. The goaltender Thomas Held notched his 2nd win of the season making 18 saves in the Brahmas rout. Ryan Martell, Trevor Borlace, and Eli Gould scored the goals for the College Station Spirit. The Brahmas heavily outshot the Spirit 42-21.
 
Milwaukee Power 3 @ Coulee Region Chill 11 - The Coulee Region Chill scored five goals in the opening period Saturday night and never looked back, winning 11-3. Thomas Magnavite recorded his second hat-trick in as many nights and also dished out an assist to go with it. Flavien Fondadouze and Blake Holmes each had two goals of their own. Brady Lindauer and Connor Losen were the playmakers dishing out three assists each. Caleb Beversdorf, Maris Graudins, and Chuck Bay scored the goals for the Power. The Chill outshout the Power 40-30.
 
Breezy Point North Stars 6 @ Rochester Grizzlies 7 (OT) - The North Star’s third period comeback was not enough to overcome the Grizzlies Saturday night coming up short in overtime. Trailing 6-4 heading into the third period, Reid Morin and Casey Hormann notched goals to tie the game. Matthew DeRosa eventually scored his third goal of the game in Overtime to end it for the Grizzlies. Richard Szabo came up big as well for the Grizzlies scoring two goals of his own. Goaltender Maxim Closer made 19 saves in the win. 
 
New Ulm Steel 4 @ Alexandria Blizzard 5 (SO) - It took a shootout, but that didn’t stop the Alexandria Blizzard from picking up the win Saturday night. The fast start for the Blizzard proved pivotal as they were able to overcome and great comeback from the Steel. After scoring the game’s first three goals, the Blizzard surrendered four straight and saw themselves trailing by one in the third period. Brandon Connett scored his third goal of the season tying the game up shortly after. Goaltender Benjamin Vucti picked up his first win of the season recording 26 saves. Jarrett Cammarata netted two goals for the Steel in the loss.
