Coulee Region duo of Holmes and Kons called up to NAHL

The Coulee Region Chill of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that two more players have been called up and advanced to the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
Defenseman Blake Holmes has been called up to the Minnesota Wilderness in the NAHL’s Central Division and defemseman Logan Kons has been recalled to Maryland Black Bears in the NAHL’s East Division.
Holmes, 19, is in his first season of playing junior hockey, which has been in both the NAHL and NA3HL this season. The 6’2/205 lbs. native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, began the season in the NAHL with the Janesville Jets, appearing in three games.
Holmes netted his first NAHL goal this past weekend as he scored the Wilderness’ only goal in a 2-1 loss on January 19th.
He has played in 25 games with the Chill this season in the NA3HL and recorded 48 points (14 goals, 34 assists), which leads all Chill defensemen and ranks 4th among all NA3HL defensemen.
Kons, 19, began the season playing in the NAHL with the Black Bears, which extended for 15 regular season games from September through November.
The 5’11/180 lbs. native of Chicago, Illinois then joined the Chill in January where he played in two games and scored a goal.
This past weekend, Kons then rejoined the Black Bears during their series sweep of the Northeast Generals where he recorded an assist. Overall in 17 NAHL games this season, Kons has recorded two assists.
Last season, Kons played in 32 games for the Chill in the NAHL, recording three points.
