Sunday Wrap-Up: Knights get first NA3HL win

New England Knights 4 @ Long Beach 0 - Four different players found the scoresheet and Patrick Gribbin stopped each shot he faced to propel the Knights to a 4-0 shutout of the Sharks on the road. The win was the Knights first in the NA3HL. Tyler Pimental, Chase Lapworth, Sean Murphy and Leevi Kervinen provided the offense in the win. Richard Prazan took the loss in the Long Beach cage.
New England Stars 7 @ Skylands 3 - The Stars scored four second-period goals to break open a 2-1 contest and take a 7-3 win on the road over the Kings. Jon Natale's pair led the way, as Michael Lempiainen, Connor Barter, Henry Beguelin, Josh Boyd and Joe Gagnon also lit the lamp for the Stars, who received 19 saves from Matt Marini for the win. For Skylands, Dylan Dinzik, Thomas Hoffman and Joseph Arnold tallied in front of 33 saves by Tyler Robertson.
Coulee Region 4 @ St. Louis 6 - A wild first period saw the Chill take a 4-3 lead into the break, but three unanswered Blues markers in the sandwich stanza gave them a 6-4 win on Sunday. Lucas Gudz and Joey Solimando each netted twice for St. Louis, with Brogan Rumpf and Jake Stevenson potting goals as well. Parker Severson of Coulee also put on a show with two goals of his own, while Flavien Fondadouze and Christopher Drews rounded out the Chill attack. Trevor Smith and Brett Tome combined for 23 saves in the victory, while Gunnar Snyder suffered a 33-save defeat.
North Iowa 6 @ Peoria 2 - Sean Sullivan and Zachary Simon netted a pair apiece, Dysen Skinner turned aside 24 of 26 and the Bulls breezed past the Mustangs 6-2 on Sunday. Nico Aguilera and Campbell Cichosz also scored for North Iowa, while Zachary Eddington and Austin Keil provided Peoria's goals. Cole Walter and Jaden Gardner posted a shared 25 saves in the loss.
Mid Cities 2 @ Texas Brahmas 3 - The Brahmas kicked off their championship defense with a win after captain Findlay Wood came up clutch in the third period to give Texas a 3-2 win over the Stars. Richard Indermill and Dylan Smith put the Brahmas up 2-0 in the first, before Zach Russel and Steven Guadalajara got Mid Cities back into the affair early in the third. Wood's winner came midway through the frame, and Bryce Runyan stood tall to seal the win, stopping a total of 18 shots in the game. Noah Kinsinger stopped an impressive 42 pucks in the Stars' defeat.
Maine 4 @ Northeast 14 - The Generals struck early and never looked back in this contest, featuring eight different scorers and two hat-tricks as they blitzed the Wild for a 14-4 victory. Kolye Bankauskas' five goals and two assists stood out as the premier performance of the day, with Eyan Helm bagging a hat-trick, Stephen Gerbis posting six points and Carson Asper nabbing five to round out the key contributors. Also on the scoresheet for Northeast, Nicholas Wracker, Matthew Peckham, Grigori Zemzer and Samuel Rychvalsky with a goal apiece. John Driscoll stopped 22 shots in the win, allowing goals only to Regan Wintle, Jayden Werner, Luke Church and AJ Albanese. Olivier Marceau and Seth Dube put up a combined 44 saves in defeat.
Atlanta 3 @ Louisiana 4 (OT) - David Helpap tallied twice in the third period to help the Capitals force overtime, but Brandon Morgan found twine just 48 seconds into the extra frame to give the Drillers a 4-3 OT win over their division rival Atlanta. Jacob Sinclair, Blake Siewertsen and Zach Smith put Louisiana on the board in the first 40 minutes, while Brandon Plummer provided the Capitals' other goal. James Downie took the 25-save win over Patrick Egdorf of Atlanta, who finished with 34 saves on the night.
