NA3HL announces Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey

November 27, 2019

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 24, 2019. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the six divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

Central Division Star of the Week: Ryan Butt, F, Milwaukee Power

Butt was a model of consistency for the power in a pair of games last week, scoring in both to mark three consecutive outings with a goal. Sunday’s win also saw him log a pair of assists for his second multi-point game of the year and first with at least three points. Butt now has 3g-2a—5pts on his current three-game streak and has hit the scoresheet in each game since joining the Power.

2nd Star: Flavien Fondadouze, F, Coulee Region Chill

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Chris Gilbert, F, Coulee Region Chill — Paul Hofbauer, F, Rochester Grizzlies — Wesley Knutson, F, Milwaukee Power — Van Kraemer, F, St. Louis Jr. Blues — Seamus Radley, F, St. Lous Jr. Blues — Cody Reagle, F, Rochester Grizzlies

Coastal Division Star of the Week: Corey Tumenas, F, New England Stars

Tumenas starred in a weekend split against Elmira last week, scoring a pair of goals in each game, including the GWG in Saturday’s victory. His four goals in the two outings accounted for half of New England’s eight tallies, and stretched his goalscoring streak to three games — a run that has seen him net twice in each contest. In total, Tumenas boasts 11g-9a—20pts in 22 games this season.

2nd Star: Kyle Wiswell, D, Maine Wild

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Nick Beck, G, L/A Nordiques — Joe Clark, F, L/A Nordiques — Keenan Gamache, G, Maine Wild — Tami Merilainen, D, Northeast Generals

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Luke Hartge, F, Bozeman Icedogs

It was a dynamite week for Hartge and the Frontier-leading Icedogs, who moved to a stunning 20-1-0 on the year thanks in large part to Hartge’s eight total points in a pair of wins over Missoula and Helena. Friday saw Hartge net his second hat-trick of the year — including the game-winner, his third straight — and set up two other markers. Saturday featured more of the same, as the Chicago native scored twice and added another helper. Hartge’s been on a tear as of late, with five straight multi-point outings and an overall eight-game point streak since the start of November, during which he has posted a whopping 12g-17a—29pts.

2nd Star: Michael Allman, G, Yellowstone Quake

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Zane Cluphf, F, Missoula Jr. Bruins — Nathaniel Fanning, F, Gillette Wild — Kellen Harris, F, Great Falls Americans — Tyler Kaminski, F, Gillette Wild — Logan Rachow, D, Great Falls Americans — Dylan Rumpke, F, Yellowstone Quake — Justin Schwartzmiller, F, Sheridan Hawks — Logan Syrup, F, Sheridan Hawks — Mi-Kwan Tallman, F, Missoula Jr. Bruins

Northeast Division Star of the Week: Kolby Donovan, F, Danbury Colonials

A three-win week helped the Colonials solidify their first-place pedigree, as Donovan starred with points in all three contests. Beginning the week with an assist in an OT win over L/A on Monday, Donovan then added another two helpers in Saturday’s win over Skylands. His strongest effort came on Sunday, where he scored the game-winning goal and posted another two assists to guide his team to victory. Donovan is up to 15g-18a—33pts in 24 games this season.

2nd Star: Joseph Arnold, F, Skylands Kings

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Kyle McEnany, F, Danbury Colonials — Trevor Souza, D, Skylands Kings

South Division Star of the Week: Grant Griffin, F, Louisiana Drillers

The Drillers hosted the Roadrunners for a three-game over the weekend, with two of those games occurring during this judging period. Griffin stood out with seven points in those two games, including a whopping four goals on Saturday and another goal on Sunday to go with assists in both tilts. His four-goal effort marked his second hat-trick this season, and his strike on Sunday helped push his goal total at the time to 23 in just 24 games.

2nd Star: Jakub Uram, F, Texas Roadrunners

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Jaeger Reed, G, Texas Roadrunners — Blake Siewertsen, F, Louisiana Drillers

West Division Star of the Week: Mario Maietta, F, Breezy Point North Stars

Maietta surged in two games over the weekend, including a truly standout performance in a 6-5 OT win over New Ulm on Saturday. After setting up two Breezy Point goals in Friday’s loss to the Blizzard, Maietta notched a hat-trick — with his third marker coming late in the final frame — to help the North Stars force the extra frame and ultimately take the win. The two contests marked Maietta’s first back-to-back multi-point efforts of the season, and brought his season totals to 8g-11a—19pts in 21 games.

2nd Star: Nate Johnston, G, Granite City Lumberjacks

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Bailey Sommers, F, Granite City Lumberjacks — Harrison Stewart, D, North Iowa Bulls — Jake Sumner, G, Breezy Point North Stars — Michal Trejbal, F, Alexandria Blizzard — Carter Wagner, F, North Iowa Bulls
