Generals move into 1st place with win on Wednesday

Northeast 5 @ New England 1 – The Northeast Generals moved into a 1st place tie in the Coastal Division thanks to a 5-1 win in New England on Wednesday. Carson Asper and Stephen Gerbis each had four points in the win. The two teams were tied at 1-1 after one period as Kolye Bankauskas scored his 33rd goal of the season for the Generals and Corey Tumenas scored for the Stars. The Generals blew the game open in the 2nd period with three goals including two from Gerbis and another from Adam Smith. Asper added a goal in the 3rd period to make it a 5-1 final score. Raphael Gaughan made 18 saves in the win and Casey Johnson made 22 saves in the loss. Boxscore
