December 11, 2019

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 8, 2019. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the six divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

Central Division Star of the Week: Dillan Bentley, F, Peoria Mustangs

Bentley and the Mustangs took a weekend split against the Warhawks, during which the Illinois-native bagged six points across the two contests. Assisting once on Saturday, Bentley erupted for four more assists and the game-winning goal on Sunday — his second GWG this season. Bentley’s outburst also made it three straight with at least a point for him, pushing his season totals to 11g-14a—25pts in 23 games.

Coastal Division Star of the Week: Kolye Bankauskas, F, Northeast Generals

The League’s leading scorer continued to rack up the points over the course of last week, with a whopping 11 points in just four games. After a goal and two assists on Wednesday, Bankauskas potted another pair in Friday’s win over Elmira and added two more helpers on Saturday. And after an already strong set of performances, he tore up the ice once again on Sunday with his fifth hat-trick of the season along with another assist. After being held off the scoresheet for the only time this season on Sept. 14, Bankauskas has registered at least a point in each of the 22 games since then, including 20 multi-point outings.

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Carson Asper, F, Northeast Generals — Zach Roncarati, G, New England Knights

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Tyler Kaminski, F, Gillette Wild

Despite falling in back-to-back contests against Frontier-leading Bozeman, Gillette’s Tyler Kaminski put on a strong showing in both outings with a total of four points. Scoring once and assisting another on Friday before lighting the lamp twice on Saturday, Kaminski stretched his goal-scoring streak to seven straight games, a span during which he has nabbed 8g-10a—18pts with six multi-point efforts. Kaminski boasts 14g-22a—36pts on the season.

Northeast Division Star of the Week: Trevor Christopher, D, Skylands Kings

Christopher was a rock on the Skylands blue line during their win over Long Beach last week, scoring twice and assisting once to lead all skaters in the contest. Despite seeing his side shut out on Sunday against the Northeast juggernaut, Christopher has posted an impressive 10g-10a—20pts in 23 games from the back end, which leads all Kings defensemen.
