NA3HL announces Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 17, 2019. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the six divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Dillan Bentley, F, Peoria Mustangs
Bentley had a Showcase showing to remember with eight points in three games to guide Peoria to a perfect 3-0 record. A hat-trick and two assists on Sunday led to another two strikes on Monday, a scoring eruption after Bentley had posted just a single tally in his prior five outings. On Tuesday, he found twine once more to ensure his name in the goal column during each Showcase contest. Bentley now boasts 7g-6a—13pts in just his last five games.

After scoring once and setting up another in Sunday’s win over the Brahmas, he then struck twice more and added another assist in a statement victory over Granite City. Capping it all off, Bankauskas recorded his sixth hat-trick of the season and posted another two helpers to help the Generals past Bozeman and on to a 3-0 run at the 2019 Showcase. His 6g-4a—10pts tied for the League lead during last week’s event in Blaine.

Assisting once during a game on the 12th, Garsjo entered the Showcase with points in seven straight, and, despite seeing that streak end in a loss to Milwaukee on day one, played a pivotal role in both Butte wins with five goals and an assist. Garsjo scored once and nabbed his lone helper of the weekend in a win over Breezy Point, then carried the Cobras to victory over Long Beach with a stunning four goals, including the game-winner in overtime. After posting a stout, three-assist game against L/A, the Michigan native exploded against Danbury, filling up the highlight reels with five goals, including the game-winner. Add in another helper on Tuesday against St. Louis, and Siewertsen’s Showcase effort stands as one of the more impressive performances from the event.
