Hofstetter leads Jr. Blues to shootout win on Saturday
St. Louis Jr. Blues 7 @ Peoria Mustangs 6 – Thanks to a hat-trick from Sean Hofstetter, the St. Louis Jr. Blues edged the Peoria Mustangs in a shootout in the lone NA3HL game on Saturday, 7-6. The Jr. Blues and the Mustangs left the 1st tied 2-2 with St. Louis goals coming from Sean Hofstetter and Seamus Radley and Peoria goals from Jared Wisely and Dillan Bentley. In the 2nd, St. Louis pulled ahead by two with goals from Hofstetter, Mark Capkovic, and Clayton Dawe. Peoria managed one from George Giese. In the 3rd period, Peoria took the lead with three goals from Zachary Eddington, Jared Wisely, and Quinton Murphy before Hofstetter tied it up with 1:20 left in regulation. Each team held off in overtime leading to a shootout won by St. Louis Forward Joey Salimando. Jr. Blues goalie Brett Tome made 28 saves in the win, while Mustangs goalie Jaden Gardner made 21 saves in the loss. Boxscore
