Sunday Wrap-Up: Chill, Stars, Generals, Drillers win on Sunday

New England Stars forward Michael Lempiainen had five points in a win on Sunday.

St. Louis Jr. Blues 0 @ Coulee Region Chill 3 – The Coulee Region Chill won at home against the St. Louis Jr. Blues, 3-0. In the 1st period both teams held the other off with the first goal of the goal coming late in the 2nd from Chill forward Sam VanderHoeven. The Chill kept their lead in the 3rd with two more goals from Parker Severson and Marco Escobar. Goalie Devin Naidow of the Chill was the star of the game with 54-save shutout in the win, while William Oliver of the Jr. Blues made 30 saves of 32 in the loss. 
 
Skylands Kings 3 @ New England Stars 13 – Thanks to two hat tricks the New England Stars won at home against the Skylands Kings, 13-3. The Stars started the 1st period with four goals from Michael Lempiainen, Jon Natale, Josh Boyd, and Luke Church. Thomas Hoffman of the Kings managed a goal with just under a minute left in the 1st. In the 2nd Connor Barter of the Stars scored followed by a goal from Kings forward Khole Hibbert before Barter could add another goal for the Stars. Hibbert Scored again for the Kings to be answered by four more goals from the Stars from Church, Jake Harrison, Josh Boyd, and another from Barter to complete a hat trick. The Stars scored three more times in the 3rd with two goals from Derek Flynn and the final goal of the game completing a hat trick from Church. Stars goalie Nathan Hadley made 21 saves of 24 in the win while Kings goalie Jacob King made 44 of 57 in the loss.
 
New England Knights 2 @ Northeast Generals 8 – The Northeast Generals defeated the New England Knights at home. 8-2. The Generals got an early lead with three goals in the 1st from Stephen Gerbis, Drew Schemmel, and Jeffrey Sidoit. The Knights got on the board with just under a minute in the 1st with a shot from Martin Dlugolinsky. In the 2nd the Generals kept their lead with three more goals from Colin Day, another from Gerbis, and one from Deacon More. The Knights answered with a goal from Brendan Thomas-Heayden. The Generals kept pace in the 3rd with two more goals, another from Sidoit and one from Kolye Bankauskas.  Knights goalie Zach Roncarati made 54 saves of 62 while Generals goalie John Driscoll made 20 of 22. 
 
Texas Brahmas 2 @ Louisiana Drillers 3 - The Louisiana Drillers won in overtime against the Texas Brahmas, 3-2. Matej Palfy of the Brahmas scored early in the 1st only to be answered by a goal from Drillers forward Nathan Hartline. Early in the 2nd Leevi Selanne of the Brahmas scored followed by a goal from Jeff Gula of the Drillers to tie the game. Both teams held the other off in the 3rd period forcing overtime won by a shot from Ben Cope of the Drillers just :22 in. Goalie Aaron Dickstein of the Drillers made 48 saves of 50 in the win while Brahmas goalie Bryce Runyan made 17 of 20 in the loss.
