Sunday Wrap-Up: Elmira extends winning streak

Northeast Generals forward Carson Asper had a hat-trick in a 6-2 win on Sunday.

Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles 5 @ Long Beach Sharks 2 - The Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles traveled to defeat the Long Beach Sharks, 5-2. In the 1st period the Eagles got on the board with a goal from Thomas Liebold followed by goals from Sharks forward Zachary Ostrowski and Eagles defenseman William Darling. The only goal of the 2nd came from Darling of the Eagles. Riley Botting added to the Eagles lead in the 3rd before Sharks forward Steven Poripski could score. Jayvon Fogelgren of the Eagles scored with just :09 left in the game. Eagles goalie ANdrew Engel made 15 of 17 saves in the win while Sharks goalie Timothy Brillaud made 56 of 60 in the loss.

 
Northeast Generals 6 @ Maine Wild 2 - Thanks to a hat trick from Carson asper the Northeast Generals beat the Maine Wild, 6-2. The Generals got on the board with a goal from Sanuel Rychvalsky followed by a goal from Jayden Werner of the Wild. Koyle Bankauskas of the Generals scored with just under a minute left in the 1st. The only goal of the 2nd came from Owen DuBois of the Wild. In the 3rd period the Generals added four to their lead with a goal from Ryan Reifler and hat trick from Carson Asper. Goalie Raphael Gaughan of the Generals made 13 saves of 15 in the win while Ricardo Alvarez made 27 of 33 in the loss.
 
Mid Cities Jr. Stars 0 @ Atlanta Capitals 4 - Thanks to a shut out from Gunnar Snyder the Atlanta Capitals defeated the Mid Cities Jr. Stars, 4-0. The first goal of the game came from Cole Thomas Johnson of the Capitals 11:09 into the 2nd. The Capitals added three to their lead in the 3rd with goals from Kirill Nikulichev, Johnson, and Matthew Macumber. Goalie Gunnar Snyder made 20 saves for the shutout while Kenton Kim of the Jr. Stars made 31 saves of 34.
 
New England Knights 1 @ New England Stars 3 - The New England Stars won at home against the New England Knights, 3-1. Anthony Viola of the Stars scored in the first followed by a goal from Nolan Murphy of the Knights. In the 3rd the Stars put up two more goals from Corey Tumenas and Viola. Goale Nathan Hadley of the Stars made 39 saves of 40 while Patrick Gribbin of the Knights made 37 of 40.
