The Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that three players have all made ACHA Division 1 commitments to Midland University.
Goaltender Jaden Gardner, defenseman Zach Eddington, and forward Ian McHenry will all continue their collegiate careers at Midland after successful NA3HL careers.
Gardner, 20, has played the last four seasons in the NA3HL with the Mustangs. In 84 career appearances, the 6’6/195 lbs. native of Normal, Illinois, has a career record of 41-25-6 with a goals against average of 2.39 and a save percentage of .920.
Eddington, 21, put up some big numbers the last two seasons with the Mustangs. The 5’11/196 lbs. native of Springfield, Illinois, recorded 73 points in 94 games played in his two-year NA3HL career.
McHenry, 20, also had two successful seasons in Peoria. In 90 career regular season games, the 6’0/170 pound native of East Peoria, Illinois, had 43 points.
“Jaden has been a top goaltender for us and the league the last few years great leader will do well at Midland. Zach has been a great two-way player with awesome leadership skills. He sees the ice well and playing on Midlands big ice should be a fun player to watch. Ian has played for us for several years and grown tremendously. He is an all-around player and his details for the game will mesh well with Midlands style of play. All have a bright college future and the Mustangs Family wish them the best,” said Mustangs head coach Steve Oirtman.
