St. Louis forward Kraemer makes college commitment

July 6, 2020

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Van Kraemer has committed to play ACHA Division 1 hockey at West Virginia University. The Mountaineers, located in Morgantown, West Virginia, play ACHA Division I hockey in College Hockey Mid-America.

Kraemer, 20, joined the Jr. Blues this season for his second year of junior hockey. In 45 games this season the 5’11/175 lbs. native of Fenton, Missouri, posted 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points, finishing the year with a +13 rating.

“Van is a strong, versatile forward that possesses the puck well and brings a lot of physicality,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “West Virginia’s a great school and we wish him all the best of luck in Morgantown.”

Kraemer becomes the eighth member of the 2019-20 Jr. Blues squad to make a collegiate commitment this year.
