NA3HL announces Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending October 5, 2020. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Ethan McCormack, F, Oregon Tradesmen
McCormack helped the Tradesmen open their inaugural NA3HL in the best way possible, tallying three goals and an assist across a pair of comfortable wins over divisional opponents. Friday’s opener saw him net two goals — including the game-winner — and one assist, and he followed up that impressive debut with another goal on Saturday. An NA3HL veteran, McCormack previously played for the St. Louis Jr. Blues and the Coulee Region Chill, and appears poised as an important piece for the Tradesmen moving forward.
2nd Star: Hunter Wilmes, F, Rochester Grizzlies
Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Derrick Brown, F, St. Louis Jr. Blues — Brent Edmondson, F, Oregon Tradesmen — Jeb Lindy, G, St. Louis Jr. Blues — Zach Wiese, G, Rochester Grizzlies
East Division Star of the Week: Nick Ramm, F, Northeast Generals
Ramm helped last season’s highest-scoring team pick up right where they left off, with a whopping four goals in his NA3HL debut to guide the Generals past the Jr. Hat Tricks on Saturday. Ramm’s brother Tyler assisted on three of those goals. After a successful run with the Generals’ NAPHL youth teams, including a trip to the 2019 NAPHL All-Star Game, Nick Ramm has kicked off his Junior career with a bang and will look to keep it going against Danbury once more on Sunday.
2nd Star: Espen Reager, G, Northeast Generals
Honorable Mention (alphabetical): None
Frontier Division Star of the Week: Jacob Cummings, F, Sheridan Hawks
Entering his second NA3HL stint, Cummings started off on the right foot with six points across a pair of road games in Bozeman. The Anchorage, AK native was dishing out goals to his teammates on Friday, logging five assists in a 7-0 victory. The playmaker turned goal-scorer in Saturday’s defeat, tying the game at one early in the second period. After six games with the Hawks last season, Cummings looks to be cementing his place in Sheridan early in the season.

Leading from the blue line, John Blake finished tied atop the Lumberjacks’ scoring leaders with four points in Granite City’s lone contest last weekend. Blake struck twice in a six-minute span in the first period, and his initial marker stood as the game-winner. After making such a sizable early impact, the rookie blueliner’s next test comes in a pair of back-to-back home tilts against rival North Iowa this weekend.
2nd Star: Hayden Fox, F, North Iowa Bulls
