Friday Finals: RoadRunners get big win in South

Blake Billings scored twice to help Sheridan pick up a 4-3 win on Friday and help extend their winning streak to 12 straight games.

Texas RoadRunners 5 @ Mid Cities Jr. Stars 2 - Derek Boutin started off the action with a goal for the RoadRunners. Next Aaron Best capitalized on a scoring opportunity for the Jr. Stars. Although the first period was even the second period was completely dominated by the RoadRunners. The three RoadRunner goals in the second period were scored by Nick Lucas, Logan Bellar, and Tim Marsico. Mason Evans tosses the put at the net and creates the fifth goal for the RoadRunners. Gavin Spears of the Jr. Stars gets a point for his team.

Sheridan Hawks 4 @ Helena Bighorns 3 - Very close match up tonight. The Bighorn started off the game with a goal by Johhny Baird. The Hawks are right behind them with a goal by Jacob Cumming. Then the Bighorns put up two more points created by Corbin Skinner and Gavyn Galloway. Finding their momentum and not wanting to let this game slip away from them the Hawks put up three goals. Two of the goals were earned by Blake Billing and one goal by Jacob Cumming.

El Paso Rhinos 3 @ Oklahoma City Blazers 4 - A minute and thirty six seconds into the game Jacob Clement puts the first point on the board for the Rhinos. The Blazers were fired up after being scored on. Next the Blazers scored four goals: one from Robby Rabroker, one from Tucker Lien, and two from Artem Korolev. The Rhinos are sweating but they have not given up hope. The Rhinos put up two more goals in the third period by Noah Easterson and Wyatt Allan. As the clock drained of time the Blazers were ahead by just one point. 

Rochester Grizzlies 5 @ Wausau RiverWolves 2 - Matthew DeRosa and Garrett Smith of the Grizzlies put up the only two goals in the first period. Alex Villa of the Grizzlies followed suit as he put the puck in the back of the net. JJ Berdal of the RiverWolves was able to capitalize on a scoring opportunity and get his team on the scoresheet. Peyton Hart of the Grizzlies finished off the second period with a point.  Max Beste of the RiverWolves scored the second point for his team. Peyton Hart scored the final goal of the game leaving the Grizzlies three points ahead.

Great Falls Americans 4 @ Gillette Wild 3 - The first period was very back and forth. First Micah Serino of the Americans put up a point. Then Declan Young of the Wild matched that point with one of his own. Next Kellen Harris of the Americans found his way to the back of the net. Following was a goal from Will Blake of the Wild. The final two periods were dominated by the Americans. The final three American goals were produced by Jake Hayes, Micha Serino, and Ethan Maish. Trever Mellen, goaltender of the Americans, saved 49 of the 52 shots he faced. Cole Wheaton, the goaltender of the Wild, saved 29 of the 33 shots he faced.

Missoula Junior Bruins 5 @ Butte Cobras 3 - Butte put up a good fight but it was not enough to beat the Junior Bruins. The Junior Bruins had two goals in the first by Austin Franck and Liam Bland. The Cobras had one goal in the first by Kyler Garsjo. The second period the Junior Bruins had three goals by Liam Bland, Pablo Frank, and Kade Levins. The third period had two goals by Riley Austin and Kyler Garsjo of the Cobras. A very heated game with thirty penalties racked up between the two teams.

Northeast Generals 10 @ Bay State Bobcats 1 - The Generals did not leave room for the Bobcats to breath. The Generals had ten goals earned by:Carson Asper, Ben Pizzimenti, Sean Loftus, Payton Felix, Deacon More, Ben Pizzimenti, Nicklaus Obourn, Nick Wracker, James Clarke, and Nolan Merulli. The Bobcats had one goal produced by JayVon Fogeigren. Patrick Colburn, the goaltender of the Generals, saved 25 of the 26 shots that he faced.
