NA3HL announces Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey

January 12, 2021

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 10, 2021. The divisional stars of the week are awards given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

Central Division Star of the Week: Jack Craycroft, D, Peoria Mustangs

Craycroft put up big numbers from the blue line this week, notching 2g-6a—8pts and a stout +9 rating in a pair of wins over Wausau. His crowning moment came in Friday’s tilt, where the Ankney, IA native tallied a pair of goals — his first time lighting the lamp this season — to go with a whopping four helpers. To put a cherry on top, Craycroft’s first marker served as the game-winner in a 10-2 romp. Craycroft followed up his breakout effort with a second straight multi-point effort, posting a pair of assists in Saturday’s win as well. The 2000-born defenseman now boasts 2g-18a—20pts and a +24 rating through 20 games this season.

2nd Star: Zach Wiese, G, Rochester Grizzlies

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Tony Andrews, F, St. Louis Jr. Blues — Owen Carlson, G, St. Louis Jr. Blues — Michael Dalaly, F, Milwaukee Power — Peyton Hart, F, Rochester Grizzlies — Reid Lune, F, Peoria Mustangs

East Division Star of the Week: Deacon More, D, Northeast Generals

The Generals’ leading scorer was as consistent as they come in quite a busy week, totaling 4g-5a—9pts as he found the scoresheet in each one of his six games from the Northeast blue line as the Southern Showcase got underway in North Texas. More played a key role in the Generals’ attack, remarkably scoring in all but two games from a defensive role. Even when he didn’t light the lamp, More chipped in assists for his team — including a four-assist performance against Long Beach on the 7th — to stretch his streak to eight games, netting 6g-7a—13pts in that span. Enjoying an incredibly productive campaign, More has bagged 14g-19a—33pts in just 22 games this season to lead all NA3HL defensemen.

2nd Star: Carson Asper, F, Northeast Generals

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): None

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Blake Billings, F, Sheridan Hawks

Billings saw action twice this week as the Hawks tangled with the Americans in a pair of heavyweight bouts. His play was an important driver to his team picking up two massive wins over their Frontier Division rivals, as the Sheridan native put up consecutive two-point efforts to keep his incredible season-long point streak alive. Billings bagged the game-winning goal and an assist in Friday’s win, then turned full playmaker with a pair of helpers on Saturday to pace a pair of stellar victories. Recording at least a point in every game played this season, the 2001-born sniper has 22g-23a—45pts in just 19 outings, good for fourth among all NA3HL skaters.

2nd Star: Micah Serino, F, Great Falls Americans

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Connor Caroll, G, Yellowstone Quake — Daniel Crutcher, F, Great Falls Americans — Pablo Frank, F, Missoula Jr. Bruins — Dakota Kott, D, Sheridan Hawks — Owen Miley, D, Missoula Jr. Bruins — Dylan Rumpke, F, Yellowstone Quake

South Division Star of the Week: Jack Cooper, F, Texas Brahmas

Cooper strung together some masterful performances in the Southern Showcase this week, bagging a total of 4g-6a—10pts in four games for the host Brahmas. The San Jose, CA native got his week off to a strong start with a hat-trick and two assists in a win over Long Beach on the 5th, then followed with another tally and two more helpers to knock off the Generals on the 8th. Cooper then notched a fourth straight multi-point outing dating back to Dec. 17 with two assists on Saturday, and capped off his week with a +1 rating as the Brahmas knocked off Oklahoma City on Sunday. In total, the 2000-born Cooper boasts 13g-26a—39pts in 21 games in his third NA3HL campaign.

2nd Star: Christian Wong-Ramos, G, Texas RoadRunners

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Tim Marsico, F, Texas RoadRunners — Blake Rothstein, F, Texas Brahmas
