Sheridan forward Teasdale signs NAHL tender
The Sheridan Hawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Joe Teasdale has signed a North American Hockey League tender agreement with the Maryland Black Bears in the NAHL’s East Division.
Teasdale, 18, is in his second full season of junior hockey, which has been spent between the NA3HL and the NAHL.
The 5’10/185 lbs. native of Troy, MI, has played in seven games with the 1st place Hawks so far during the 2020-21 season and recorded 13 points, including 4 goals and 9 assists. Teasdale has recorded at least one point in six of his seven games played so far this season.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL this season, Teasdale played the 2019-20 campaign in the NAHL for the Jamestown Rebels. He appeared in 25 games and recorded six points.
Teasdale played his youth hockey in his native Michigan for both the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies and Honeybaked.
He is the first player from the Hawks to sign an NAHL so far this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
