Lumberjacks and Bobcats win on Wednesday

Alexandria 0 @ Granite City 5 – Lumberjacks goalie Bailey Huber stopped all 18 shots that came his way for his second shutout of the season as Granite City blanked Alexandria on Wednesday, 5-0. Five different players scored for Granite City in the win, including Camden Benson and Nicholas Richert in the 1st period, Brockston Masseth and Carson Simon in the 2nd period and Hanson O’Leary in the 3rd period. Blizzard goalie Atticus Kelly made 40 saves in the loss.
Titans 3 @ Bobcats 4 – Zakary Justice had a hat-trick and an assist to lead the Bobcats to a 4-3 win over the Titans on Wednesday. The Titans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from George Haigley and Jonah Sabatini. In the 2nd period, the Bobcats got on the board twice, courtesy of the first two goals from Justice, but the Bobcats maintained a one-goal edge thanks to a goal from Isaiah McKinney. In the 3rd period, the Bobcats tied the game thanks to Justice’s third goal of the game, and then got the game-winner later in the period from James Sandison. Bobcats goalie Zack Roncarati made 36 saves in the win, while Ethan Kavanaugh made 21 saves in the loss.
