Bay State goalie Roncarati makes NCAA commitment
The Bay State Bobcats of the NA3HL are excited to announce that goaltender Zack Roncarati has committed to play NCAA Division III Ice Hockey for Anna Maria College for the 2021-22 season.
Roncarati, 20, is currently in his second season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL and first season with the Bobcats.
Through 19 games played this season, the 6’1/190 lbs. native of East Longmeadow, MA, has an impressive .905 save percentage with 899 minutes played so far. Out of 718 total shots against, he has saved an incredible 650 of them.
“Zack has been one of our two backbones this season, in net. He has had some phenomenal games. He gives us a very good chance to win almost every time he is in net. His compete level is second to none; first one at the rink, last one leaving the ice. I am proud to say he wore the Navy and Gold this season and wore it with pride. Coach McCauley is getting a quality goaltender for the Amcats for next season. We can’t wait to watch him next season,” said Bobcats head coach Anthony Langevin.
Prior to playing for Bay State this season, Roncarati spent the 2019-20 campaign with the New England Knights. He was also selected to and played in the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Coastal Division team.
