Brahmas and Jr. Hat Tricks win on Tuesday
Atlanta 1 @ TX Brahmas 4 – The Brahmas moved to the brink of clinching a playoff spot thanks to a 4-1 win on Tuesday, completing a sweep of their series against the Capitals. Texas opened up a 2-0 lead early into the 2nd period on goals from Padraig McEnery and Blake Rothstein. The Capitals cut into the lead to make it 2-1 at the end of two periods thanks to a goal from Kirill Nikulichev. In the 3rd period, the Brahmas pulled away thanks to goals from Michael Imala and Leevi Selanne, who registered a goal in his 5th straight game. Logan Gorbitz made 20 svaes in the win, while Joe Pearson made 44 saves in the loss.
Jr. Hat Tricks 6 @ Bobcats 3 – Carson Holliday and Nick Cullinan each scored twice to lead the Jr. Hat Tricks to a 6-3 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday. The game was even at 3-3 until midway through the 3rd period as Cullinan, Kade Bacon, and Cole Madzey scored for the Jr. Hat Tricks, while Zakary Justice, JayVon Fogelgren, and James Sandison scored for the Bobcats. Late in the 3rd period, the Jr. Hat Tricks pulled away with three straight goals including two from Holliday and another from Cullinan. Nathan Hadley made 27 saves in the win, while Kyle May made 26 saves in the loss.
