Jr. Blues punch ticket to Fraser Cup Playoffs

Wausau 0 @ St. Louis 7 – The Jr. Blues punched their ticket to the Fraser Cup Playoffs with the convincing 7-0 win over the RiverWolves. Jr. Blues goalie Danny Fraga stopped al 28 shots for his first shutout of the season. Six different players scored for St. Louis and Tony Andrews scored twice. Matt McGowan had a 1st period goal. Andrews, Joey Solimando, Derek Cagle, and Riley Howse scored in the 2nd period, and Tyler Sunagel and Andrews added his second goal of the game in the 3rd period. Wausau goalie Caleb Sauer made 35 saves in the loss.

Titans 2 @ Generals 8 – James Clarke scored twice to lead the Generals to an 8-2 win over the Titans on Thursday. Nick Byron oped the scoring for the Titans just :12 seconds in. Jacob Kaminski would answer for the Generals to make it 1-1 after one period. The Generals took command in the 2nd period, scoring four times, including Clarke’s first goal and others from Ben Pizzimenti, Dylan Dent, and Braeden Kennedy. Clarke would add his second goal of the game in the 3rd period and Tyler Kaminski and Jason Gratz also scored for Northeast. Brett Bell had the other goal for the Titans. Patrick Colburn made 19 saves in the win, while Grant Goodson made 46 saves in the loss.
