Titans forward Avezov signs NAHL tender
The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), have announced that forward Brandon Avezov has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the New Jersey Titans of the NAHL’s East Division for the 2021-22 season.
Avezov, 19, has had a successful first season with the NA3HL Titans. He leads the team with 37 total points (18 goals and 19 assists) in 21 games. He also leads the team in goals (18). The Bellmore, NY native has been named the NA3HL’s East Division’s Star of the Week four times this season as well as the NA3HL forward of the month.
“I am honored to be offered this tender contract by the NAHL Titans,” said Avezov. “I have enjoyed my stay with the Titans organization this season, and I am looking forward to the possibility of helping the NAHL team next season.”
“I am very happy for Brandon,” stated Titans NA3HL head coach Andrey Kapranov. “Brandon is a talented player. I look forward to seeing Brandon help us make a run in the playoffs and possibility towards the Fraser Cup, and I look forward to seeing how well he does for the NAHL team next season.”
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
