NA3HL Weekend Preview

March 5, 2021

The NA3HL regular season is coming to a close and more playoff spots are on the line this weekend as 27 games are on the schedule.

Eight teams have already punched their tickets to the Fraser Cup Playoffs, with several more teams knocking on the door to clinch as soon as this weekend.

It was another great week for advancement for NA3HL players as another played signed an NAHL tender, and three others made NCAA commitments. Close to 30 NA3HL players have made NCAA commitments to date.

In the Central Division, the Rochester Grizzlies look to try and lock up the regular season division title with a series against Oregon. There is also a potential playoff preview as Peoria visits St. Louis. In the East, the Northeast Generals also look to secure a regular season title with a three-game weekend. In the Frontier Division, the Sheridan Hawks, who have the division wrapped up, look to try and secure the NA3HL regular season crown with a series against Yellowstone. In the South, there is a big match-up in El Paso as the Oklahoma City Blazers are in town looking to secure a playoff spot. The Texas Brahmas will also try and keep pace atop the division with a three-game set in Louisiana. Finally, in the West, winning streaks collide as Alexandria and Granite City face one another and the Willmar WarHawks look to keep their success against the North Iowa Bulls going with a pair of games.

The NA3HL is in its 11th season in 2020-21 and serves as one of the top training grounds in the country by providing the best coaching, exposure and developmental vehicles available for student-athletes in Tier III junior hockey. It is one of only two USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III junior leagues.

No other league has had more movement and advanced more players onto play in the NAHL than the NA3HL. Earlier this summer, not only did 27 NA3HL players sign a tender to play in the NAHL for the upcoming 2020-21 season, but 28 more players were selected in the 2020 NAHL Entry Draft on July 21st.
