El Paso and Oregon pick up wins on Monday

Oregon goalie Cole Garver made a season-high 50 saves in a 5-2 win on Monday.

El Paso 5 @ Mid Cities 0 – The Rhinos completed their inaugural regular season in the NA3HL with a very good 28-6-6 record thanks to a 5-0 shutout win over the Mid Cities Jr. Stars on Monday. Five different players scored for El Paso, which included four goals in the 2nd period from Barak Braslavski, Colton Chipman, Nolan Conrad, and Gino Sessa. Noah Decker would add a goal in the 3rd period to complete the scoring. Rhinos goalie Ryan Nocerino stopped all 17 shots that came his way for his second shutout of the season. Stars goalie Sean Guerin played very well in the loss, stopping 70 of 75 shots.

Milwaukee 2 @ Oregon 5 – Brent Edmondson had two goals and two assists to lead the Trademen over the Power in Milwaukee’s season finale. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 after the 1st period as Simon Ellingson scored for Milwaukee with Abe Laggis answering for the Tradesmen. Oregon took a 3-1 lead early in the 2nd period with goals from Edmondson and Sam VanderHoeven. Milwaukee made it a 3-2 contest with a goal from Maxwell Erstad midway through the period, but the Tradesmen would add two more goals from Mac Reed and another from Edmondson to make it a 5-2 final. Oregon goalie Cole Garver made a season-high 50 saves in the win, while Ewan McDevitt made 36 saves in the loss.
