Oregon forward Severson makes NCAA commitment

Parker Severson played in the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.

The Oregon Tradesmen of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward and captain Parker Severson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin beginning in the fall of 2021. Northland is an NCAA Division III program and member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

A 6’0/170 lbs. native of Saginaw, Michigan, Severson, 20, played his NA3HL rookie season with Coach Don Babineau in 2019-20 with the Coulee Region Chill where he posted 33 goals and 66 points in 45 games.

He also was selected to and played in the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Divisiontea,.

Last spring Severson followed Babineau to Oregon signing with the Tradesmen.

“We are proud and excited for Parker,” said Babineau. “He has also made some team history as the first Tradesmen player to commit to D-III college hockey.”

Severson played 33 games this past season with Oregon scoring 20 goals while adding 20 assists. He will join a Northland squad coached by Seamus Gregory who enters his eighth season as bench boss of the Lumberjacks.
