Oklahoma City goalie Charbonneau makes NCAA commitment
The Oklahoma City Hockey Club of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Olivier Charbonneau has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Gustavus Adolphus in the MIAC.
Charbonneau, 20, just completed his third season of junior hockey and first season playing in the NA3HL with Oklahoma City. The 6’1/194 lbs. native of L'Îles-des-Soeurs, Quebec went 8-4-1 during the 2020-21 regular season with a 2.19 GAA and .917 save percentage.
Charbonneau earned his way to the starting job throughout the Fraser Cup Playoffs going 3-1. His effort along with steady play all year from the team allowed OKC to head to the Fraser Cup Championship as the Wild Card.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL for OKC, Charbonneau played two years of junior hockey in Canada and played his youth hockey for the CIHA Voyageurs.
