Atlanta defenseman Moore signs NAHL tender
The Atlanta Capitals of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman Gunner Moore has signed a North American Hockey League tender agreement with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the NAHL’s South Division.
Moore, 19, just completed his fourth season playing in the NA3HL, which has all been spent with the Capitals organization.
The 6’2/190 lbs. native of Las Vegas, NV, was one of the top-scoring defensemen in the NA3HL this past season, finishing fourth in scoring among all NA3HL blueliners with 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) in 37 games played.
Moore was also selected to and played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for Team Bauer, where he had an assist.
Moore made his NA3HL and junior hockey debut with the Capitals during the 2017-18 season. Overall in four seasons in the NA3HL, Moore has played in 161 career NA3HL games and recorded 143 points (43 goals, 100 assists).
Moore has also played in three NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments in 2021, 2020, and 2018.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
