Willmar forward Light makes college commitment
The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Ethan Light has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for the University of Utah.
Light, 19, just completed his first season of junior hockey in the NA3HL. The 5’11/170 lbs. native of Manhattan Beach, CA, played in 35 games with the WarHawks this season and posted 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists).
“Ethan was a huge part of our team’s success this year. He was with us from the very beginning of training camp and played a key role from the beginning of the season to the end, improving his game throughout the course of the year, especially defensively. He plays a very fast, physical game and is difficult for other teams to play against. He also uses his speed to generate offense and has a great shot. Utah is getting a tremendous hockey player and person. We wish Ethan nothing but the best going forward,” said WarHawks head coach Kirk Olimb.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Light played his youth hockey with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings.
