Oklahoma City defenseman Shura makes college commitment
The Oklahoma City Hockey Club of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Artem Shura has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for the University of Central Oklahoma.
The ACHA Division 1 hockey program has two national championships under its belt and has continued to be a top program under Head Coach Michael Rivera.
Shura, 20, just completed his first season playing in the NA3HL and third season of junior hockey overall. The 6’0/183 lbs. native of Moskva, Russia, played in 38 games for OKC during the 2020-21 regular season and posted 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists). He also played in eight playoff games.
Artem played 3 years of junior hockey in the United States tallying 42 points over 121 games played. The consistent defenseman was a constant workhorse wherever he played.
