Sheridan forward Brydges makes NCAA commitment
The Sheridan Hawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Zach Brydges has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the Concordia University Falcons this fall.
Brydges, 20, played in 32 regular season games for the Hawks during the 2020-21 season, putting up 17 goals and adding 29 assists for a total of 46 points. During 8 games in the Fraser Cup Playoffs, he garnered 8 points with 3 goals and 5 assists.
He was named the Frontier Division Star of the Week on December 8, 2020.
Prior to joining the Hawks organization, Brydges played for the NAHL Jamestown Rebels, with 3 goals and 4 assists in 44 games during the 2019-20 season, and played 7 games (1 goal, 2 assists) with the Rebels during the 2018-19 season.
The 5’11/175 lb. native of Woodbury, MN will roster for Concordia University, located in Mequon, WI, a team in the NCHA.
Brydges’ commitment makes him the seventh Sheridan Hawks player from 2020-21 season roster to commit to play college hockey, joining teammates Justin Schwartzmiller and Nick Wieben also at Concordia University, Jonathon Teasdale (Buffalo State-SUNY, NCAA Division III), Jacob Cummings (Grand Canyon University, ACHA Division I), and Blake Billings (Grand Canyon University, ACHA Division I).
