Granite City forward Simon makes NCAA commitment

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward and captain Carson Simon has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Hamline University.

Simon, 21, just completed his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL, the last two of which were spent with the Lumberjacks.

During the 2020-21 season, Simon led the Lumberjacks in scoring with 41 points (23 goals, 18 assists) in 39 games played. He was named to the 2020-21 NA3HL All-West Division Team for his efforts.

In his two years with the Jacks, the 5’9/165 lbs. native of Elk River, MN, put up 48 goals and 39 assists in 85 games.

Simon played in 129 NA3HL regular season games throughout his career with the Breezy Point North Stars and the Lumberjacks and recorded 126 points.

He played in both the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the West Division and in the 2019 NAHL 18U Top Prospects Tournament for Team East.
