NA3HL announces monthly player awards for September

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of September 2021. The NA3HL Forward of the Month is Samuel Feamster of the Helena Bighorns. The NA3HL Defenseman of the Month is Brock Trboyevich of the Gillette Wild. The NA3HL Goaltender of the Month is Ian Hedican of the Oregon Tradesmen. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.

 

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Samuel Feamster, Helena Bighorns

Feamster tallied 8g-4a—12pts in four games during September, finding the scoresheet multiple times in each contest and notching two hat-tricks in that span. Feamster grabbed a stunning five goals and two assists — including one of his hat-tricks — during opening weekend against Sheridan, then posted two helpers against Butte and capped off the month with another hat-trick, this time against Bozeman.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Brock Trboyevich, Gillette Wild

Trboyevich balanced steady defensive play with some offensive flair in September, notching 2g-8a—10pts and a +11 rating across six games last month. After scoring and recording two assists in his first game, Trboyevich continued producing on a five-game streak, highlighted by his 1g-3a—4pts outing on Sept. 18 against Yellowstone. The second-year blueliner posted an even +/- rating or better in each of his six September outings, and leads all NA3HL defensemen in scoring.

NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Ian Hedican, Oregon Tradesmen

Hedican faced a busy two games between the pipes during September, but showed up in a big way for the Tradesmen with 101 saves on 104 shots to pick up a pair of wins over the Mustangs. Hedican took the ice for the first time on Sept. 24 in Peoria and stopped 57 of 59 shots for the win, then rolled through the rematch on Sept. 25 with another 44 saves on 45 shots. Hedican finished the month with a .971% save percentage and 1.49 GAA to start the season off on a good note.

Runner-Up: Cooper Olson, Willmar Warhawks
