Friday Finals: Loons snap skid with big win at home

Bay State forward Landon Boothe had a four-point game in a 6-2 win on Friday.

New Ulm 3 @ Minnesota 6 - Six different Loons found the back of the net as Blake Keller and Shane Donovan finished with three points apiece. Wylee Gladen notched a goal and an assist while Tyler Seeling, Andrew Villareal and Kyler Couture all scored in the victory. Owen Reeve was sensational, stopping 54 of 57 shots fired in his direction. Josh Delange, Jack Laser and Zach Dalzell all scored for New Ulm in the loss. Nolan Lacosse made 37 stops for the Steel.

Norwich 2 @ Bay State 6 - It was a four point night for Landon Boothe as the Bay State Bobcats defeated the Norwich Sea Captains 6-2. Jace Desmarais netted a pair of goals while Tima Basarab logged a goal and two helpers. Dylan Gallagher and Isaiah Walter both chipped in goals as well. Ben Di Fiore was a wall stopping 39 shots on the night. Drew Schemmel and Teagen Beier scored for Norwich while Andrew Yocum made 36 saves in the loss.

Milwaukee 4 @ Oregon 5 - After a wild first period, the Oregon Tradesmen came back to defeat the Milwaukee Power 5-4. Sam VanderHoeven registered a goal and two assists to lead the offense for Oregon. Jason Tenezaca potted a pair of goals for the Tradesmen while Carter Watters and Henry Slager each found the back of the net as well. Cole Garver was perfect in relief as he stopped all 29 shots he faced to earn the win in goal. Max Erstad netted two tallies for the Power while Riley Planey and Nate Stone each contributed a goal. Anthony Maiorca was dealt the loss in net as he made 38 saves.

TX Brahmas 9 @ Austin 2 - Michael Imala tallied a hat trick and added an assist as the Texas Brahmas defeated the Austin Ice Bats 9-2. Michael Kramer and Joey Carollo each had a pair of goals in the win for Texas. Erik Vrkoc and Micah Maldonado each got on the scoresheet with a goal. Dolan Gilbert picked up the win in goal as he made 22 saves. Coby Nostrant and Dominic Toews each had a goal for Austin while Brandon Shantz made 53 saves.

Louisiana 1 @ El Paso 6 - Matthew Gross potted a pair of goals as the El Paso Rhinos beat the Louisiana Drillers 6-1. Caden Butler picked up three assists in the win while Noah Easterson had a goal and two helpers. Zachary Ware, Payne Pent and Riley Hunt-Bahn all visited the red light district for the Rhinos. Peyton Brendel was brilliant in goal as he turned aside 39 of 40 Louisiana shots. Martins Leps provided the lone goal for the Drillers while Brandon Keeney and Evan Wittchow combined for 47 saves.

Badlands 3 @ Sheridan 6 - Caden McDonald and Taylor Frerichs each had two goals and two assists to lead the Sheridan Hawks to a 6-3 win over the Badlands Sabres. Makhai sparks also had a four point night as he tallied a goal and three assists. Nathan Awoyemi chipped in a goal as well for the Hawks while Patric Loeffler got the win in between the pipes as he made 34 saves. Derrick Brown notched two goals for the Sabres while Kael Delzer also scored in the loss. Zach Broxterman took the loss in goal despite making 41 saves.

Bozeman 5 @ Yellowstone 3 - Five different players scored for the Icedogs as Bozeman topped Yellowstone 5-3. Grayden Pond and Luke Busher each tallied a goal and two assists for Bozeman while Ian Bowman had three helpers. Cole Busher grabbed a goal and an assist while Liam Massie and Forrest Musselman also scored in the win. Collin Soderholm denied 37 of the 40 shots fired in his direction. Keegan Ferguson had two goals for the quake while Jack Harris logged a goal and an assist. Cole Eastman was dealt the loss in net. He stopped 32 shots.

TX RoadRunners 8 @ Mid Cities 0 - The Texas RoadRunners blanked the Mid Cities Jr. Stars by a score of 8-0. Jack Herron knocked home two goals while Tyler Love logged a goal and two assists. Samuel Bourdon, Tim Marsico and Jaron Ketterman all had a goal and an assist for Texas. Derek Boutin and Tyler Singpradith each got on the scoresheet with a goal. Hunter Hein was perfect in net, stopping all 22 shots fired his way. Robert Sullivan and Adler Hoagland combined for 58 stops for the Jr. Stars.

St. Louis 1 @ Rochester 9 - Justin Wright scored twice and added an assist as the Rochester Grizzlies beat the St. Louis Jr. Blues 9-1. Layten Liffrig had a goal and three assists while Noah Roitman and Connor Mahony each grabbed a goal and two assists. Kyle Bauer and Austin Meers each picked up a goal and an assist while Mason Thingvold and Matthew Shaw also scored in the win. Kaleb Bents grabbed the win in goal, making 29 saves. Gus Immken registered the only goal for St. Louis while Brendan Cobb and Espen Reager teamed up to make 57 saves.

Peoria 2 @ Wausau 3 - The Wausau Cyclones picked up another win as they edged the Peoria Mustangs 3-2. Gage Vierzbaa and Hayden Shoemake gave the Cyclones an early 2-0 lead before Jared Wisely and Christopher Kondiles tied things up in the second. Pavel Bakhtin’s power play goal late in the middle frame proved to be the difference in the contest. Zach Dosan continued his strong play by making 43 saves. Andrew Doran stopped 24 shots in the loss.

Granite City 6 @ Willmar 2 - Make it 11 straight wins for the Granite City Lumberjacks as they beat the Willmar WarHawks by a score of 6-2. Ben Anderson had two goals and an assist in the victory. Wilson Dahlheimer had a goal and an assist while Tucker Skime, Brock Masseth and Tal Hallidaay all scored for the Jacks. Matthew Smith turned aside 30 of 32 shots to earn the win in the blue paint. Ben Luedtke had a goal and an assist while Brady O’Brien also scored for Willmar. Will Pinney was given the loss as he made 17 saves.
