Gage Vierzba scored twice to help the Wausau Cyclones to a 5-1 win on Thursday night.

Mason City 4 @ Alexandria 3 (OT) – Cullen Hogan had two goals, including the OT-winner, and an assist to lead the Toros to a 4-3 overtime win in Alexandria on Thursday. Alexandria jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a 1st period goal from Matt McIntyre. Mason City tied the game early in the 2nd period on a goal from Carter Newpower. The Blizzard then took a 3-1 lead on goals from Benjamin Tschida and Zachary DeMarce. The Toros tied the game at 3-3 later in the 2nd period with goals from Hogan and Sota Isogai. Hogan’s goal game 1:54 into overtime. Toros goalie Owen Carlson made 39 saves in the win, while Joey Greilich made 18 saves in the loss.

Oregon 1 @ Wausau 5 – The Cyclones turned the tables on the Tradesmen from the night before as they picked up a 5-1 win on Thursday. Gage Vierzba scored twice and Mitch Miscevich made 30 saves in the win. Oregon scored the lone goal of the 1st period as Jason Tenezaca scored his 12th goal of the season. It was all Cyclones after that as goals from Vierzba, Dylan Chapman, and Blake Neill put Wausau ahead 3-1 after two periods. Vierzba would add his second of the game and Pavel Bakhtin in the 3rd period. Cole Garver took the loss with 19 saves.
