NA3HL announces monthly player awards for December

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of December. The Forward of the Month is Luke Schleusner of the Butte Cobras.  The Defenseman of the Month is Tal Halliday of the Granite City Lumberjacks. The Goaltender of the Month is Will Kunka of the Willmar WarHawks. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.

 

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Luke Schleusner, Butte Cobras

Butte Cobras forward, Luke Schleusner, put on a show in the month of December in the 10 games he appeared in totaling an outstanding 25 points. The Mountlake Terrace, Washington native found the back of the net 11 times while handing out 14 assists along with a +9 rating. So far this season, Schleusner holds the 10th spot in the 3HL amongst all scorers with 34 points (26G, 28A) and averages 1.59 points per game.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Tal Halliday, Granite City Lumberjacks

Granite City Lumberjacks defenseman, Tal Halliday added 12 points in the 6 games he played in December. The blueliner scored 4 goals and passed out 8 assists. A standout game for Halliday was against the Minnesota Loons where the defenseman scored a hat-trick and two assists in a 14-1 win. Halliday has appeared in 27 games this season and has earned 28 points (8G, 20A). With his 28 points, Halliday is tied for 6th place in the 3HL in scoring among all defenders.

NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Will Kunka, Willmar WarHawks

Willmar WarHawks netminder, Will Kunka, was red hot between the pipes in the month of December recording three consecutive shutouts. In those three showings, Kunka turned away all 75 shots he faced. So far in the Moorhead, MN natives campaign with the WarHawks, Kunka has a 6-2 record, a 2.83 GAA and a .913 SV%.
