Sunday Wrap-Up: Ice Hawks, Generals continue winning ways

Northeast Generals forward Tyler Ramm had a hat-trick and an assist in an 8-3 win on Sunday.

Oklahoma City 7 @ Louisiana 4: The Oklahoma City Ice Hawks earned the weekend sweep over the Louisiana Drillers in a 7-4 final score. The Ice Hawks took a 3-0 lead after the first period with Jakob Holley, Aaron Best, and Tyler Larsen all scoring. In the middle frame OKC scored with Robby Rabroker for a 4-0 score. The Drillers got on the scoresheet with Jack Lambert at 9:41 making the game 4-1. The Ice Hawks scored later in the period with Noah Henslee unassisted for his 15th of the year and 5-1 score. Nearing the end of the middle period, Mason Wilbur would net his 4th of the year to make it a 5-2 score going into the final intermission. In the third period, Louisiana added back-to-back goals coming from Mason Wilbur and Chris Littlefield for a 5-4 score. The Ice Hawks continued to find the back of the net with Robby Rabroker and Garrett Conner for a final score of 7-4. OKC netminder Garrett Johnson picked up the win stopping 28 of 32.

New Jersey 3 @ Northeast 8: The New Jersey Titans fell to the Northeast Generals in a 8-3 final score. The Generals took a huge lead in the first period scoring 5 goals. Both Nick Wracker and Jackson Schouten netted their first goals of the season. Caiden Hess, Matthew Nuzzolilo and Tyler Ramm also found the back of the net for the Generals to end the opening frame. In the second period, Ramm scored his second goal of the game. In the final frame, Jacob Renbarger scored to get New Jersey on the board. Tyler Ramm scored again for the hat-trick making the score 7-1. New Jersey added another goal with Roland Ponechal scoring at 9:54. Matthew Nuzzolilo netted his 13th of the year for a 8-2 lead at 14:05. The Titans would score a late goal from Parker King at 18:36 for a final score of 8-3. D’Mar McCoy was between the pipes for the Generals picking up the win stopping 25 of the 28 shots he faced.

TX Brahmas 3 @ TX RoadRunners 5: The Texas RoadRunners salvaged a win in the three-game weekend series with the Texas Brahmas thanks to a 5-3 win. The RoadRunners got on the score sheet early in the first period with Jaron Ketterman scoring his 11th goal of the year at 2:33. The Brahmas answered back at 3:55 with Matthew Ederstrand to tie the game 1-1. Just past the halfway mark, Michael Imala scored his 19th of the year assisted by Tyler Hildebrandt and Jeremiah Snyder for a 2-1 score in favor of the RoadRunners. Minutes later, Tyler Love scored for the RoadRunners for a 3-1 score going into the fist intermission. The RoadRunners scored the lone goal in the second period with Jaron Ketterman for a 4-1 score. In the third period, The Brahmas added a goal from Erik Vrkoc making the score 4-2. Matthew Edestrand scored a minute later for the RoadRunners making it a 5-2 score. Elijah Roofe scored an unassisted goal for the Bahamas late for a final score of 5-3. Nash Wilson earned the win in the contest stopping 44 of the 47 he faced.

Atlanta 3 @ Mid Cities 1: The Atlanta Capitals battled back in game two of the weekend against the Mid Cities Stars to split the win in a 3-1 final score. The Capitals scored first with Carson Holliday earning his sixth goal of the season assisted by Nick Mumford and Kaleb Miller. Micheal Kennedy netted his 10th of the year in an unassisted goal for the Stars to even the game 1-1. Nearing the end of the period, Anthony O’Neal would score an unassisted goal for Atlanta making the score 2-1. In the second frame the game saw its final goal coming from O’Neal again for a 3-1 score. Atlanta netminder Paul Jarvis was near perfect earning the win stopping 41 of the 42 shots he faced.
