Rochester defenseman Recupero signs NAHL tender
The Rochester Grizzlies of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Nick Recupero has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Recupero, 18, is in his first season of playing junior hockey, which began this year in the NAHL. The 6’0/185 lbs. native of Avon, MA, began the 2021-22 season playing in Austin for the Bruins.
He has appeared in 16 NAHL games this season. He made his NA3HL debut with the Grizzlies on November 12th and has played in four games to date for the Grizzlies, recording two points.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL and NAHL this season, Recupero played for Archbishop Williams High in Massachusetts.
Recupero attended and played in the NAHL Junior Combine in Danbury, CT, in July 2020.
He is the second Grizzlies player who has signed an NAHL tender so far this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
